Fun Filled Birthday Weekend

This has been an awesome birthday weekend!

Friday - Brad and I took the 2 grandgirls to Galveston. We rode the ferry across and back and thankfully - we saw dolphins! that was Lily's most biggest wish for the day. Yea! We went to Rainforest Cafe - always fun!

Then we went to Kemah Boardwalk - we visited The Aquarium and the Stingray Reef. This was Brooklyn's 2nd trip and Lily's first. Lily had a great time petting the stingrays and feeding them fish.
They both wanted their faces painted but at the last minute Lily decided she wanted hers on her arm. This was a pretty expensive splurge since they lasted only for a couple of hours and they washed right off when they got in the pool. Oh well - they had fun~and they looked so cute.

When we got home they watched a movie while mom and I went for delux pedicures - after walking around all day I was in heaven!
Saturday they played in the pool with Brad while my mom and I went to the movies to see Abraham Lincolon - Vampire Slayer (my mom's kind of movie!)

Today (Sunday) we attended church - my mom and the girls first time to visit our new church - and Lily said Kid's Church was "so so fun" - Brooklyn said our church was the best she had ever been to in her life...I thought that was pretty awesome!! After church we went to The Fish Place for lunch - and this also happens to be my birthday. This afternoon I taught Brooklyn how to make a pillow using my sewing machine - she LOVES my sewing/craft room - she has spent just as much time in there as she has the pool! She and I made cupcakes while Lily opted to get back out in the pool. Afterwards we played wii with Just Dance - that was fun!!

We just finished putting together a 100 piece puzzle and now every one is settled down watching a movie while Grammie gets to catch up her blog. It has been a busy but fun weekend and I have enjoyed every minute of it! Only one more week with these girls - then my house is going to be back in order (it looks like a tornado has been through twice!!) but I will miss them. :-(

So how was YOUR weekend?
