6. Share one of your favorite recipes and the story behind it.
Peach Cobbler - which is so simple - I learned how to make it in Home Economics which was my favorite class. It is the one thing that everyone used to say "Pamela makes the best peach cobbler" - which was kind of crazy since it is so easy and I am sure everyone pretty much makes it the same way.
1 can of peaches
1 cup of self rising flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of milk
stick of butter
stick of butter
Melt stick of butter in baking dish as your oven preheats
Place peaches on top of melted butter - do not stir.
In separate bowl, add dry ingredients and milk - stir until creamy texture - pour over peaches and do not stir!
Bake approx. 45 minutes in 350 degree oven.
That's it - except occasionally I sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top before baking.
I've made the same recipe with blackberries and cherries, too.
