5QF

Good Morning and Happy Friday. It's been a long time since I participated in 5QF but I liked the questions and wanted to answer. So here goes:

1. Do you wake before the alarm or stay in bed until the last possible second?

Actually, I don't even set an alarm. My body has its own built in alarm and unfortunately I can't even turn it off on weekends. I get up at 5:30 even on Saturday and Sunday but I don't mind - I am a morning person and like the quiet time.

2. Who should get a baby shower? Is it just the first baby or all babies?

I think the first baby for sure and then if the 2nd baby is of the opposite sex of that first baby - then a 2nd shower would be nice.

3. How will you spend Memorial Day?

Hopefully - in my pool! I will be cooking a dinner to take to a family that our church is cooking for - for 2 weeks since a family member had a heart transplant! I am first on the list and it starts Memorial Day. I am planning on chicken spaghetti, some type of bread and a cake.
4. Do you have a Storm/Hurricane/Tornado/Fire plan for your kids, house..?

Yes! We live 40 minutes from the gulf and have had several hurricanes since I have lived here - so usually we leave! We do as much as we can to secure our house and then we are out of here. As for fires - we have fire extinguishers in 2 rooms of our house - one being in our bedroom - and we have alarms in all bedrooms, living room and kitchen.
As far as a tornado goes - we know we would pull out the washer and dryer from our utility closet and hunker down in there with pillows, flashlight, water. It is in the center of the house and pretty much the safest place.
5. What is your favorite morning drink?

Coffee! It has to be flavored, tho. I love flavored coffee! If I am some where that does not have flavored coffee - I will drop a peppermint or something in it.

  2. I grew up on the coast of the Gulf and experienced hurricanes as well. We rode a couple out and it was the scariest thing ever. Fortunately we moved before Katrina but our family was not so lucky. I am your newest follower from the Fun Friday Blog Hop. Thank you for hosting!
