DIY Rock Cave or Tunnel for Aquarium

Here is a very simple Rock Cave you can do yourself and it is very inexpensive to make.

Items Needed:

PVC pipe - I used 4 inch - but you can make it as big or small as you like.
small rocks or gravel
Aquarium epoxy

CAVE:
Carefully cut the PVC pipe in half to the size you want. If using rock - glue each on in the pattern you want. If you use gravel you can put the epoxy all over the PVC and then just roll it over the gravel until it is covered.

TUNNEL:
Keep the PVC intact but cut to the desired length. Cover in epoxy and roll in the gravel.

You need to let it dry for 48 hours before submerging it in water. Rinse well in warm water before placing it in the tank.

  1. is there a different type of silicone you need to use? Or is any silicon alright. (for use in a fish tank)?

  2. Is it possibly okay if I put hot glue on the pipe thing and roll it in the gravel, if it's not okay then what glue could I use instead?
