The weekend is over - Monday is here - all is quiet again at my house - no more company - no more excuses to let my house slide - my OCD has kicked back in and I have been cleaning house all morning - restoring everything back to its usual place. It has been totally out of whack for 2 weeks - make that 3 weeks - we had company pretty much for the past 3 weeks.
So on to the GBU ...
The Good - I had FUN FUN FUN with my 2 grandangels and mom here for 2 weeks. We crammed in a lot of good times. I feel like we made some really good memories. It was Lily's first trip here and I know she had a blast. I know she is only 5 so her memories will fade pretty quickly - but I hope our bond that we sealed will last our lifetimes.
The Bad - It rained the WHOLE second week - that pretty much put a damper on our pool time (literally!) and we really wanted Lily to learn more than she did. She went from being afraid to get off the first step to going all over the pool (with floaties and vest, of course) and she even put her face in the water with goggles on. I know she would have learned so much more had we had a full 2 weeks in the pool.
The Ugly - my house really really really is a mess. Oh my!! With Brad and I both being such sticklers about everything in its place - I think we did very well about letting it all go and just having fun. There was a few times when I attempted to clean toothpaste out of the sink or wipe down the mirrors, but I pretty much just ignored it for the most part. LOL

The Good - SCHOOL is OUT for the SUMMER! woohoooooo yippeeee and yeehaw! I am "working" these 3 days - but school is officially out.
The Bad - We had quite a few staff retire - good for them - sad for all the rest of us. Not only that - both of our wonderful Assistant Principals are going to be moving to different schools. The powers that be do that every couple of years - they play muscial principals - and this year we lose both AP's at once. Next school year will be so different - two new AP's - plus all the staff replacements.
The Ugly - My Lazy Gallbladder is really doing a number on me. Two attacks during the week - not bad ones - but bad enough to hold my attention - and then Sunday was rotten. Thankfully - it waited until after church to hit hard - but I was literally down from the time I got home after church until late in the evening. While I was finally able to get up and at least move around - it last all night long. At this time - I still have symptoms going on - but not as bad as yesterday. I have decided I am going to go ahead and see my doctor and tell her I am ready for the surgery. I can't continue this way. I am at a point now where too many things set it off. :-(

Actually I had a pretty great weekend all the way around. Nothing spectacular.
Saturday - we did our usual running around. Breakfast at Jack in the Box - groceries at Walmart and lunch at Casa Ole. I got in the pool for the first time of the summer - still just a wee bit chilly, but I did it.
Sunday we had breakfast at Taco Cabana - then a great Sunday service at our church. I got in the pool again and it was a little easier this go round. I started working on a skirt for one of my grandangels and practiced guitar. I watched too much TV - as usual.
The Good -
Church - awesome awesome service - Pastor Jay is such a good preacher - love to listen to him and he is so annointed - God really uses him in a mighty way. Since we have been going there we have always sat on the right hand side of the church - and this Sunday we moved to the left - which was so much less distracting - we sat on the 3rd row from the front - much much better!
Eating out - which we love to do - I could eat out every meal - and Casa Ole is a place we could pretty much visit on a daily basis. I love their chips n' salsa.
I finished Redeeming Love - GREAT book. I highly recommend it.
I ordered a new bible cover from ebay - it is so pretty! Can't wait to get it in. Mine was looking pretty bad.
The Bad -
Eating out (too much) I know - I just said it was The Good - but sometimes I feel a little guilty that we do eat out so much - I should cook more, we should eat healthier, spend our money more wisely - but we sure do love it!
The Ugly - I did get a little sunburned. I used 50 SPF - and still burned just a little.
