This will be easy peasy for me this week! Linking up with Kati and
Kate .
The Good - SCHOOL is OUT for the SUMMER! woohoooooo yippeeee and yeehaw! I am "working" these 3 days - but school is officially out.
The Bad - We had quite a few staff retire - good for them - sad for all the rest of us. Not only that - both of our wonderful Assistant Principals are going to be moving to different schools. The powers that be do that every couple of years - they play muscial principals - and this year we lose both AP's at once. Next school year will be so different - two new AP's - plus all the staff replacements.
The Ugly - My Lazy Gallbladder is really doing a number on me. Two attacks during the week - not bad ones - but bad enough to hold my attention - and then Sunday was rotten. Thankfully - it waited until after church to hit hard - but I was literally down from the time I got home after church until late in the evening. While I was finally able to get up and at least move around - it last all night long. At this time - I still have symptoms going on - but not as bad as yesterday. I have decided I am going to go ahead and see my doctor and tell her I am ready for the surgery. I can't continue this way. I am at a point now where too many things set it off. :-(

High Five For F R I D A Y
So Ready for the Weekend - TGIF
Even tho I had a short week - I stayed home yesterday due to my lazy gallbladder (see previous post) it was still a LONG week because of STAAR - state testing.
Here are my top 5 Highlights of the week:
1. I reached $100 in Adsense for my Youtube videos and blogs - my goal was by June - so since I made my goal early - that makes me happy. I am not blogging for the $ - but if I can get paid for doing it - why not, right?
2. I saved $404 at Kohls PLUS got back $50 in Kohl's cash - went back 2 days later and spent enough for $20 more AND I had a 30% coupon!!
3. I downloaded Draw Something and got totally addicted...not sure if that is a good thing or not.
4. I lost 2 pounds - I have sworn off sweets for the time being. I would have hoped for more, but 2 pounds is probably healthier than 10, which I would have preferred :-)
and....
5. I started "secret" guitar lessons. shhh! I will blog about that later!
I hope all have a happy Friday - and are doing the happy dance with me.

Lazy Gallbladder - UGH!
I had my first major gall bladder attack March 1st and it lasted almost 3 days. I was literally in bed all of one of those days. I missed a day and half work. After having labwork, X-Rays and MRI - it was determined that I have a lazy gallbladder. All I know is that is was super duper painful. I had a cyst surgically removed just 2 weeks before (another painful experience) and was still on pretty heavy antibiotics so we (the doctor and I) think those may have played a big part in making the attack extra bad and lasting longer than a typical attack.
The bad thing about a lazy gallbladder? You can't ever make it - what is the opposite of lazy?? - ummm, not lazy, I guess. It only gets worse. You can possibly slow down the need for removal - but removal will eventually come. It may be this year, next year - it may can even wait 10 years - but if I live long enough - eventually it will have to come out.
So - my doctor suggests I try changing my diet first - less fat - less fried - less greasy foods. Ok, how am I supposed to live without french fries? onion rings? bacon? fried chicken? (I am hungry just thinking about it) She suggests I eat less -( sounds like a conspiracy to me! I know already I need to lose 10 - 15 pounds). She suggests I sloooowwwwwwwwww down when eating - put my fork down between bites. I have been fussed at all my life for eating too fast. I come from a long line of fast eaters. That takes some major concentration!
Since that initial attack I have had 2 "mini" attacks - waking me up in the middle of the night but lasting only 15 - 20 minutes - not too bad, but kind of scarey. Sometimes the pain mimicks a heart attack and when you wake up in the middle of the night with that kind of pain - it can be pretty freaky. (In fact, when I went to the doctor the first time, she did an EKG to make sure I was not having a heart attack since the pain can be so similar).
Then today I missed work - I was having a small-ish attack all day, it seems. You know it is bad when water makes you feel yucky. As I type this - it finally seems to be totally over. I think I have eaten a dozen TUMS today. Gag...I am sick of the taste of those pretty little pastels. I do have medication to take (as needed) but I can't tell it does a thing for me. My diet consisted of soup, a couple of crackers, some grapes and then I finally felt like I could eat some baked fish and yogurt.
It sure seems like surgery is lurking around the corner, doesn't it?
