OOTD - Easter Sunday

I am so glad the weather was nice today for this Easter Sunday - I have several new dresses for summer and wasn't really sure what I was going to wear until I got up this morning. I chose a dress that I actually bought last year, but have only worn once time. I think it has a nice Spring feel to it. The brandname is ELLE (Kohls)  and then I have my Mootsies Tootsies  navy wedge sandals - which are very comfortable for church as well. We stand a lot in church when singing and I find myself going more and more for comfort these days.

Hubby gets in on the OOTD today - with his khaki Carhartt slacks, Dickies shirt and Dockers shoes. I think he cleans up quite nice!

Blessed Easter Sunday

He is Risen - He is Lord


Today is the day we celebrate the fact that Jesus, who died on the cross at Calvary - who took on the burdens of all sin - MY sin  past, present and future - and became the greatest miracle of all time - He arose from the grave. They beat Him, tortured Him, spat upon Him, but death could not defeat Him.

May today be a day of remembrance. Not just bunnies, candy, pretty clothes and family gatherings. May it be a day to think about what Jesus did on that cross - how he made something so ugly become something so beautiful.

High Five 4 Friday

Once again it is Friday and not only that, but Good Friday. That means a 3 day weekend for me and that brings me to my High Five Friday which I am linking up to Lauren at From My Grey Desk

1. A 3 day weekend and it looks like the weather will be beautiful! I hope every one has a wonderful Easter and remember the reason that this weekend is so special.

2. My Betsey Johnson give away is going well and I was able to get a few more pieces of jewelry for future giveaways.

4. I have now lost a total of 5 pounds since going No Suger and Low Sodium.

5. I am going to see Titanic 3D today - I saw the movie when it came out 4 times on screen, owned the movie when VCR were the thing - and watch it every time it comes on television - I must like it or something, ya think?
