High 5 For Friday

Happy Friday - and Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

*I am fortunate enough to still have both my mom and my mother in law in my life. That is a blessing! They both received their flowers and Rocky Mountain chocolates yesterday. ProFlowers Rocks!

*I received this sweet picture in the mail yesterday from my beautiful daughter. Tucker is 2 1/2 years old now - Happy Mother's Day to my daughter, too.

*I saved  $709 dollars at Kohl's! I still wasn't happy with the comforter set I just bought - so I found one I liked much better and it was $500 - with half off and then I had a 30% coupon. I also found 4 maxi dresses, and 2 denim sleeveless vests. (Now I just have to sell the one I decided I didn't like!)

*It was Teacher Appreciation Week - and even tho I am not a teacher - I do work at a junior high - and the PTO were so sweet including support staff in their appreciation. We all got a $5 giftcard for Bullritos and they brought in amazing cupcakes. There was something yummy going on every day. Today is salsa and chips from Casa Ole! YUM!

*After my car was totaled - and insurance paid their portion off - we still owed $1900 and we paid if off this week! Yea!

High 5 For Friday

Whoop Whoop! Not only is it Friday but the day has finally come for us to head out to Arkansas this morning and pick up my mom and 2 oldest grands! I am super excited! So I am all packed up - ready for that 500 mile LONG drive.

So what has been worthy of a high 5 this week? 

I got an all clear from my gallbladder surgery - so I have been in the pool exercising every day this week.

I bought a new Vera Bradley handbag - it was just calling my name!


We had a visit from the Oklahoma grands - they spent 2 nights with us this week. The highlight was taking them to see Brave (I will be seeing it again next week with the 2 grands that are we are going to get! Good thing I really liked it!)


I sold $100 worth of baby fish, shrimp and snails - that deserves a HUGE HIGH 5!!! :-)

High stress week with the STAAR testing - so glad it's over!

So - on to the High 5's:

1) Hubs was on vacation all week so he got a lot done - new grass planted - fertilizing all the rose bushes, shrubs, pretty much the whole yard. The pool looks great and I can't wait for it to warm enough to start getting in. My roses are blooming like crazy now. He picked a perfect week to stay home and work in the yard.

2) I was hoping to hit the 50 mark in followers this week and I did and then some. 63 at the time of this posting. Yeaaaaa & Many thanks.

3) This is Professional Administrators Assistants Week - and I got a beautiful mug with butter pecan "mug of cake" in it and a cupcake from Somethin' Sweet - best cupcakes in town! This morning I got a Begonia plant in a pretty flower pot and my 2 sweet counselors gave me a Visa giftcard. I work with great people. :-)

4) I enjoyed a massage Wednesday after work - always makes me feel better!

5) I feel like I am really learning a lot in my guitar lessons and making great progress. I am already working on strumming and my teacher says I have "musical bones" and it is coming naturally. That made me feel pretty good! My son is self taught and really good with the guitar. My daughter has played clarinet since her elementary years and even received a college scholarship - my oldest granddaughter is playing the clarinet (6th grade) So now I like to say I am the one who gave them their musical talent...ha! Serioulsy - I am thanking God for helping me learn this so quickly. My prayer has been that this gift I know He has placed in me will shine and I can praise him through my music.
