1. Woohoo I have hit 200 and 300 on my 2 blogs! that makes me happy :-) I changed the headers on both blogs. I like them much better.


2. I can finally sing and play Country Roads on my guitar (not that it sounds good, but I can do it!)

3. My house is all back in order - and even clean - and I will be doing a Home Tour on Danielle's blog - Blissful and Domestic

It will go live July 27th so stay tuned!


4. My Bradley's vacation starts today - so he will be off all next week.

5.  I made 3 new recipes this week and we loved them all. Thank you, Pinterest!
   Mexican Stuffed Peppers (crockpot)...Beef Tips in Mushroom Sauce (crockpot)...Grilled Parmesan Tomatoes

High 5 For FRIDAY

OMGosh - it is Friday and we are traveling 500 miles today - with a 5 year old - again...(taking my 2 grandangels and mom back home after their 2 week vaca with us here in Texas) Seriously - she is incredibly good in the vehicle - better than me, actually! lol

Lots of High 5's for the week but I will keep it to 5 - Linking up with Lauren From My Grey Desk.

1. Even though it rained every single day this week - we still had good times and the girls NEVER complained.

2. I taught Brooklyn a song that I can play on my guitar (Country Roads)

3. I taught Brooklyn how to make a pillow using my sewing machine.

4. Brooklyn and I went to see Katy Perry: Part of Me (3D) and both of us really liked it.

5. We all went to see the new Amazing Spiderman movie - it was actually my first one to see and I really enjoyed it. Lots of action!!

The icing on the cake for the week will happen over the weekend when I get to see my Tucker Boo and daughter/son in law. Can't wait!

High 5 For Friday

Whoop Whoop! Not only is it Friday but the day has finally come for us to head out to Arkansas this morning and pick up my mom and 2 oldest grands! I am super excited! So I am all packed up - ready for that 500 mile LONG drive.

So what has been worthy of a high 5 this week? 

I got an all clear from my gallbladder surgery - so I have been in the pool exercising every day this week.

I bought a new Vera Bradley handbag - it was just calling my name!


We had a visit from the Oklahoma grands - they spent 2 nights with us this week. The highlight was taking them to see Brave (I will be seeing it again next week with the 2 grands that are we are going to get! Good thing I really liked it!)


I sold $100 worth of baby fish, shrimp and snails - that deserves a HUGE HIGH 5!!! :-)

High 5 For FrIDaY!!

With a 4 day work week (Memorial Day Monday) and the students last day Thursday - and that was only 1/2 day - this has been a VERY short work week.

Here are my High 5's For This Week:

1. My mother in law surprised us with a visit - which was nice - I gave her one of my wreaths that I made - we went out to eat catfish one night - Brad & I played guitar for her - she was able to experience Skyping with 2 of the grandangels - and we took her to Cherry Berry, which she loved.

2. I won 2 more free giveaways this week. That makes a total of 4! I have been super lucky in that area - maybe I should buy the lottery tickets instead of Brad.

3. I finally get to upgrade my phone TODAY! I have an Epic 4G and I love it - but it has been giving me problems for the past couple of months - and I am so ready to get a new one!

4. I ordered a beautiful new bible cover and it came in this week. It is a pretty pink faux aligator skin.

5. I received the first Baby Shower Gift for the Star of Hope Women's Shelter from the Baby Shower Donation that I am currently involved with. Priscilla from Thrifty Crafty Girl made a sweet baby afghan to donate.

Another day closer to the ending of the school year! The students are crazy restless. They know that grades are done - it is just babysitting time now - the teachers are so ready for next week. Can't say that I blame them! Now comes my most stressful time - getting all the report cards done - along with all the other "end of year" stuff so we can close our office for the summer. Parents are calling like crazy to see if their lil' darlin's are going to summer school, how many awards do they get, where do they rank, etc. We are one busy office this time of year.

Still - it has been a good week and I have many things to be thankful for.

1. Today is my mom and dad's 53rd anniversary. This picture was taken from their 50th anniversary. I am thankful to still have both of my parents still living and under the same roof.  

2. My guitar lessons are going great! I am actually playing a couple of songs now, you may not be able to recognize them (lol) but they are really and truly songs!

3. We have made the decision to join the church we have been attending since February. We love the church people, - we feel this is where God wants us to be. The pastor and his wife are awesome people.

4. My Scentsy giveaway has ended and we have a WINNER! Jessica Castro- I have sent you an e-mail, Jessica - please get in touch with me within 48 hours. thanks to everyone  who entered! There were 732 entries total.

5. If you read my post Time To Rant - Not On A Diet - then you know I am back to eating sweets - and I have lost back down from 156 to 150! I knew that denying myself all the good stuff was the culprit! :-) I was eating every thing in sight just to try to make up for it!

Another week come and gone - getting close to the countdown - school will out soon and the kids are going wild!

#1 - it's a Biggy - I let my husband in on the big secret - he now knows about my guitar lessons...I will have to do a separate post on how that all happened - it was pretty funny!  he is very excited for me and wants to buy a Martin D-15 for me this weekend! Below are a few of his expressions I pulled from the hidden video I had going when I started playing while he was at his computer - priceless!

#2 I ordered a stainless steel guitar pick that is personalized with "Pamela & Bradley" - can't wait for it to come in and give it a try. I just know it will make me sound AWESOME...lol


#3 My daughter got a new job closer to her home - a huge relief to me - she will be 5 minutes from home  instead of 45 minutes - I am so glad she will not be on the road so much!

#4 I was asked to do a product review - that will happening later this month - stay tuned!

#5 I sold almost $50 worth of baby fish this week and then 3 more batches were born! Love my 8 aquariums! I have 55 gallon, 37 gallon, 29 gallon, 6.5 gallon, (2) 5 gallon, and just under 2 gallon for Mr. Betta. I also have a 20 gallon at work in my office.

High stress week with the STAAR testing - so glad it's over!

So - on to the High 5's:

1) Hubs was on vacation all week so he got a lot done - new grass planted - fertilizing all the rose bushes, shrubs, pretty much the whole yard. The pool looks great and I can't wait for it to warm enough to start getting in. My roses are blooming like crazy now. He picked a perfect week to stay home and work in the yard.

2) I was hoping to hit the 50 mark in followers this week and I did and then some. 63 at the time of this posting. Yeaaaaa & Many thanks.

3) This is Professional Administrators Assistants Week - and I got a beautiful mug with butter pecan "mug of cake" in it and a cupcake from Somethin' Sweet - best cupcakes in town! This morning I got a Begonia plant in a pretty flower pot and my 2 sweet counselors gave me a Visa giftcard. I work with great people. :-)

4) I enjoyed a massage Wednesday after work - always makes me feel better!

5) I feel like I am really learning a lot in my guitar lessons and making great progress. I am already working on strumming and my teacher says I have "musical bones" and it is coming naturally. That made me feel pretty good! My son is self taught and really good with the guitar. My daughter has played clarinet since her elementary years and even received a college scholarship - my oldest granddaughter is playing the clarinet (6th grade) So now I like to say I am the one who gave them their musical talent...ha! Serioulsy - I am thanking God for helping me learn this so quickly. My prayer has been that this gift I know He has placed in me will shine and I can praise him through my music.

We have state testing next week - so it has been a little stressful at work - and then this was report card week - and UIL had to be done PDQ because of a fieldtrip coming up. So I say Bring On The Weekend...........

The highlights of the week:

1. I received my mug from Sarah, my mug swap partner. It is perfect! Check out the guitar pick that says Pick Jesus - thank you, Sarah! Iwill really enjoy using it.

2. I finally started reading The Hunger Games - very good so far.

3. I got my new Vera Bradley tote in. I love it.

4. Six pounds down - yeaaaaa!

5. ...and getting my highlights/lowlights today - whewww

Happy Friday, 13th - High Five For Friday

TGIF! Friday the 13th AND my mom's birthday! HaPpY BiRtHdAy, mom - I love you! ♥

My Highlights for this week are many but I will narrow it down to 5.

1. Easter Sunday was wonderful - a great start to any week when it begins with a good worship service.

2. I got my hair trimmed - and it turned out how I wanted it- that is always a plus!

3. I bought a new pair of Yellow Box Sandals AND a Vera Bradley purse. :-) Both from Norma's Country Dreams

4. I got our taxes done - which I put off as long as I could AND got the off in the mail. AND I mailed the mug for my partner in the coffee mug swap. I hope she likes it!!

5. I am working on Revelation Song and it is going pretty good. I am getting there! I have 5 chords now: G, Em, D, C, A and Am . You only need D, A, C and G to play this song. I am very slow - and even though this is a slow song - I still can't keep up yet.
