I have posted a few times about my love of all things Coach - but right now I am lovin' Vera Bradley. I still love my Coach bags - but VB has such lightweight bags and I really like that! I am trying really hard to carry less in my bag to be kinder to my poor back -

It's Ok that I look forward to watching Golden Girls every morning even though I have seen every single episode dozens of times.

It's Ok that I think Wendy Williams is the best talk show on the air right now.


It's Ok that my fav nail polish for the summer is bright blue.

It's Ok that I ate a huge bowl of ice cream at 10 p.m. last night

It's Ok that I bought another Vera Bradley purse this week.

It's Ok that even though I am super excited about having my mom and 2 of my grandangels here - I dread the drive to Arkansas.

It's Ok that I got in a heated discussion with the surgery center from my gallbladder surgery - I refused to go back to them for my check up and opted to see my primary care physician instead.

It's Ok that I watched the Daytime Emmy awards 2 times - and was disappointed both times.

I am thankful that I will be picking up my mom and 2 of my girlie grands tomorrow! They will be spending the next 2 weeks here in TX with us. So happy! Then  in 2 weeks I will be seeing my Tucker Boo! He is my youngest cutest grandboy.

What I Wore - Wednesday

Yea, I know my new Vera Bradley bag doesn't match my outfit - but oh well!

I LOVE these capris. Guess what? they are actually FILA yoga shorts! If you think you recognize the top - you are right - I have worn the black one just like this one in a previous OOTD post. (Apt 9) Both from Kohls

These Yellow Box flip flops are the most comfy, too!

After buying a Vera Bradley bag this week - I have been pouring over the Spring/Summer catalog and making a wish list. Actually, I ordered one tote and it is on its way!

I fell off the Coach Wagon Today

I have been a Coach fan for a really long time. I have quite a few bags hanging on my "coach tree" that my hubby made for me a few years ago. In fact, nothing but Coach bags. Today, however, I fell off the Coach wagon and somehow a Vera Bradley "Eloise" Rosy Posies print bag jumped on my arm! I don't even know how it happened really. I was driving home from getting my hair trimmed and my car just pulled into Norma's Country Dreams and before I knew it, I was standing at the counter with my debit card in my hand. Really weird.


I do like it, tho - it is roomy - I love the old fashioned style clasp - very spring-y summer-y looking.
I do like Vera things - I have reading glasses ( check them out here) that I really like. I have a coin purse somewhere around here - and I have a laptop case. This is my first VB purse.

Reading Glasses - UGH!

One of the worst parts of getting "older" is trying to read and not being able to see squat! I wear monovision contacts and still can't read! I had a pair of progressive lens glasses that were supposed to be my back up and it got where I couldn't even read with those! I recently went to the eye doctor for an exam and I bought new Coach frames that I wanted to have my prescription put in. After my exam it was determined that I just wasn't going to get much better reading than what I was getting already - and my eye doctor suggested I just have my glasses for distance since I am near sighted and then just pull them off when I am reading as I don't wear them that much - only to give my eyes a break from the contacts every other week or so. I hate the monovision contacts but if I go back to wearing contacts just for distance I will have to have a pair of reading glasses on me all the time since upclose will be blurry all the time for reading. It is bad enough already with one contact for reading and one for distance.  I really don't want to be one of those ladies with a pair of reading glasses sitting on top of my head or hanging off of a chain around my neck! Today that is just what I did - my husband even commented - I had a pair of leopard print reading glasses sitting on top of my head most of the day.

That is the up-side ... they do make some pretty trendy reading glasses now - they even come with cute little cases. I have a zebra print pair at work - a red pair - a brown pair - I have little skinny glasses all over the house.

They are a pain in the patootie - but I do like to read - so guess they shall become one of my accessories from here on out. I found some really cute Vera Bradley specks on ebay - just bought them - so at least I will be stylin'! I'm still not wearing them on a chain around my neck, tho!!!
